Boston man charged with selling Oxycodone to face jury in October.
Tony L. Berry, 32, of 76 Radcliff St., Boston had charges of distributing a Class B drug and conspiracy to violate drug laws continued to Oct. 3 for a jury trial in Quincy District Court. The charges stem from a Feb. 22, 2011 incident in Braintree at 4 p.m. when police say they observed an alleged drug sale involving two vehicles on Crawford Street. Police then approached Berry, who was inside an SUV, and allegedly found him with six Oxycodone pills worth $105.
Braintree woman gets pretrial probation in kidnapping of relative case.
Jennifer L. Harris, 29, of 1751 Washington St., Apt. 1, Braintree received pretrial probation in Quincy District Court until Feb. 12, 2013 on a charge of kidnapping a minor by a relative. The charge stemmed from a Jan. 9, 2011 incident in Braintree when police responded to a report of a boy being absent from school all week, despite a court order that he attend the school. Police said Harris allegedly removed the boy from school despite the court order.
Braintree man charged with defacing car.
John T. Barrett, 22, of 143 Elmlawn Road, Braintree was arraigned in Quincy District Court on a charge of malicious damage of a motor vehicle. The case was continued to Sept. 28. Barrett was released on personal recognizance. The charge stems from a May 23 incident in Quincy where Barrett is accused of putting a 2- to 3-foot long scratch on the victim's vehicle.
OUI case in hands of jury in November.
Kevin Lyons, 43, of 184 West St., Braintree had charges of operating under the influence of alcohol and a marked lanes violation continued to Nov. 20 for a jury trial in Quincy District Court. The charges stem from a March 18 incident in Braintree where Lyons is accused of driving while impaired. Police said Lyons was observed in the vehicle in a driveway at 184 West St. with the reverse lights activated and then the vehicle was turned off. Police say Lyons appeared unsteady as he exited the vehicle and they approached him and conducted field sobriety tests. He was arrested on suspicion of being impaired.
