Driving Charges Thrown Out, Man Skips Arraignment

Unlicensed Mexican driver's traffic charge dismissed

Hermino Gomez-Mendez, 61, of 111 West Concord St., Apt. 5, Boston had a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle dismissed in Quincy District Court upon payment of $100 in court costs. He was found not responsible for a state highway traffic violation.

The charges stemmed from a Dec. 22, 2011 incident in Braintree at 5:55 p.m. when state police responded to a report of a two-car accident on Route 93 near Exit 7. Gomez-Mendez did not have a Massachusetts driver's license, and instead presented a Mexican ID card, police said.

Unlicensed driving charge thrown out in court

Marcio C. Carvalho, 43, of 539 Park St., Stoughton, had charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation dismissed in Quincy District Court upon payment of $100 in court costs. The charges stemmed from a Jan. 27 incident in Braintree at 2:40 p.m. when police observed a Honda vehicle abruptly change lanes, nearly sideswiping a marked police cruiser.

Lowell man ditches arraignment for license suspension

Ramon Clybourn, 31, of 10 Murray Lane, Lowell, failed to appear in Quincy District Court for arraignment on charges of driving with license suspended and a number plate violation. The judge issued a default warrant. The charges stem from a Jan. 10 incident in Braintree at 9:50 p.m. when police observed a red Ford traveling on Route 93 near the Braintree split with its license plate hanging down. Police then stopped the vehicle.
