OUI case continued for hearing
Rose Cohan, 45, of 221 Oak St., Brockton had charges of operating under the influence of alcohol, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and no inspection sticker continued to Aug. 16 in Quincy District Court.
The charges stem from a Nov. 4, 2010 incident on Washington Street in Braintree where police observed a parked motor vehicle with its lights on. Police checked the registration status of the vehicle, which did not have an inspector sticker, and detected an odor of alcohol on Cohan's breath, police said. Police administered field sobriety tests and arrested Cohan on suspicion of being impaired.
Case involving alleged threat to go to trial
Thomas R. Daly, 58, of 1875 Dorchester Ave., Apt. FL4, Boston, had a charge of threatening to commit a crime continued to July 23 for a jury trial in Quincy District Court. The charge stems from a March 26, 2009 incident in Braintree where police said a woman allegedly received a phone call from a person stating that the caller was going to do harm to her family.
Dorchester man charged with breaking and entering
Steven D. Hoxie, 39, of 25 Mount Ida Road, Dorchester, was arraigned in Quincy District Court on Charges of breaking and entering in the daytime and putting a person in fear, and malicious destruction of property over $250. The case was continued to Aug. 15.
The charges stem from a March 13, 2012 incident at 10:47 a.m. in Braintree when police responded to a report of a burglary at a Pearl Street residence. Police said the victim allegedly was sleeping when she her a loud crash, went to investigate, and found a man in the hallway walking in her direction. The man allegedly then said, "I'm sorry," turned around, and ran out of the house.
