Men Steal Cab Fare From Quincy Man Outside Legal Sea Foods

The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police are looking for three black males who robbed a 22-year-old Quincy man outside of Legal Sea Foods in Braintree on Sunday.

On Sunday evening, Nov. 11 outside of the South Shore Plaza, the Quincy man was approaching a cab for a ride home when the three men approached him, Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.

"The Quincy man had money out to pay the cab fare," Jenkins said. "One of the men approached the cab driver to talk with him while the other two men approached the Quincy man and one of them grabbed the money out of his
hand."

The men fled and responding officers could not find them.

Thank you South Shore Plaza for the crime rate spike inBraintree!

Oh really Joe? The plaza was built in 1961, have you felt like that way since then or are just more acutely aware now? Same ridiculous argument as people who move into the Fenway area and complain about the traffic during game days. You chose to live here. Don't like it? You should choose to leave.

Yea Monkey Man is right. Also thank the plaza and the other retail strip malls and stores for our lower property taxes. Crime spiked because of the economy, and desperation not because of the plaza.
