Local Man Charged with Drugs

Tue., March 18
  • 12:40 p.m. Shoplifting was reported on Granite Street.
  • 3:02 p.m. A disturbance was reported near 426 Pond St.
  • 4:06 p.m. Police were called for a hypodermic needle found on Powder Hill Road.
  • 5:27 p.m. Suspicious activity was reported on Pilgrim Road.
  • 8:51 p.m. Theft was reported on Eleanor Drive.
Wed., March 19
  • 11:25 a.m. Theft was reported on Plain Street.
  • 2:03 p.m. A hypodermic needle was found on Washington Street.
  • 4:15 p.m. A drug violation was reported on Union Street.
  • 4:34 p.m. Johanne Prophete, 27, of Mattapan, was charged with shoplifting and receiving stolen property.
  • 9:39 p.m. A hit-and-run crash was reported on Grandview Road.
  • 10:59 p.m. James R. Cress, 34, of Methuen, was charged with two counts of drug possession.

Local Man? Come on Patch. Enough with the headlines. If you're going to mail it in from afar, just put a link to the police blotter. Your attempts to appear local are not working despite your supposed local commitment. No offense Jason Claffey. There's no way you can properly cover however many towns you manage. The Patch we knew is dead.
