Local Man Charged with Drugs
The following are excerpts from the Braintree police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Tue., March 18
- 12:40 p.m. Shoplifting was reported on Granite Street.
- 3:02 p.m. A disturbance was reported near 426 Pond St.
- 4:06 p.m. Police were called for a hypodermic needle found on Powder Hill Road.
- 5:27 p.m. Suspicious activity was reported on Pilgrim Road.
- 8:51 p.m. Theft was reported on Eleanor Drive.
- 11:25 a.m. Theft was reported on Plain Street.
- 2:03 p.m. A hypodermic needle was found on Washington Street.
- 4:15 p.m. A drug violation was reported on Union Street.
- 4:34 p.m. Johanne Prophete, 27, of Mattapan, was charged with shoplifting and receiving stolen property.
- 9:39 p.m. A hit-and-run crash was reported on Grandview Road.
- 10:59 p.m. James R. Cress, 34, of Methuen, was charged with two counts of drug possession.
