Fatal Crash in Braintree Under Investigation

The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Braintree police are investigating an early Sunday morning accident that resulted in the death of a 25-year-old Holbrook woman.

Samantha Beauduy, the lone occupant of a 2009 BMW 328XI, collided with an iron barrier on the commuter rail bridge on Route 37 in Braintree. She was extricated from her vehicle by the Braintree Fire Department and brought to South Shore Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Braintree's Traffic Division is investigating, Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.

Beauduy was traveling in her vehicle south on Route 37 when at some point it "crossed into the northbound lane of travel and ultimately collided head on with an iron barrier that is at the edge of the sidewalk, and spans the length of the Commuter Rail bridge," Jenkins said.
