The infection was thought to be curable initially, but developed into kidney failure and a stroke causing his death.

E.coli was the cause of a 12-day illness that ultimately claimed the life of eight-year-old Joshua Kaye from Braintree, confirmed the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, as reported by NECN.

The infection was thought to be curable initially, but developed into kidney failure and a stroke causing his death.

The family celebrated the life of Joshua this past weekend, and Melissa Kaye submitted this tribute to her son to Patch.
