Braintree police have summonsed to court a 23-year-old Braintree woman after she allegedly crashed drunk into a parked car on Walnut Street early Monday morning and then fled the scene.
The woman, who was not named because she had yet to be charged, faces charges of operating under the influence of alcohol, failure to keep within marked lanes and leaving the scene of an accident, Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.
"A witness told officers that she observed a Volvo station wagon strike a parked car and then continue down Walnut Street," Jenkins said."Responding officers located the Volvo, and the woman further down Walnut Street and made observations of possible intoxication."
The woman was brought to South Shore Hospital complaining of a head injury.
