Courteous Driver Threatened With a Knife During Road Rage Incident

The following info was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police are looking for a motorist who threatened a 27-year-old Weymouth man with a knife last week in Braintree.

At around 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 4, the Weymouth man was driving on Pearl Street and allowed another car into his traffic lane, Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement. Immediately after that, an unknown third driver pulled up next to the Weymouth man and started yelling about what had just happened.

"Words were exchanged between the two men and then the irate driver raised a knife and pointed it at the Weymouth man," Jenkins said. "The unknown motorist then drove off towards the MBTA station."
