Dorchester Woman Caught After Fleeing Alleged Shoplifting Incident

A 19-year-old Dorchester woman was arrested after a foot chase outside the South Shore Plaza last week when police were alerted to her alleged shoplifting.
Rasean Brown was charged with larceny over $250 and receiving stolen property under $250, Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.
A woman at the Plaza told officers that she saw Brown stuffing merchandise into two shopping bags at Ann Taylor. After catching up with her outside of the mall, police found nearly $800 worth of merchandise, also including a sweater from Express.
