One Braintree woman has been charged with intent to commit murder after allegedly stabbing another woman earlier this week who the first claimed assaulted a child.
Telisha N. Moore, 34 of Braintree, was also charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after the incident on Tuesday at Braintree Village, Chief Russell Jenkins said.
Moore allegedly stabbed a 33-year-old Braintree woman in the back after confronting her over accusations that she had assaulted a child on Tuesday morning. The child assault allegedly stemmed from a conflict between two children at Braintree Village last Friday.
The stabbing victim was brought to South Shore Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She also faces charges, Jenkins said.
Police will seek charges against her for assault and battery and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon on the child, Jenkins said. Her name was not released because she had yet to be charged.
