Brockton Man Facing Charges in Pedestrian Hit and Run in Front of Dave & Buster's

The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Braintree police are seeking charges against a 24-year-old Brockton man after he allegedly struck a woman with his Ford Explorer in front of Dave & Buster's early Sunday morning and then fled the scene.

State Police later arrested Brendan K. McCann in Brockton. He faces charges including leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, operating to endanger and defective equipment, Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.

The victim, a 33-year-old Rockland woman, was brought to South Shore Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and later released.

Jenkins said that based on witness statements, McCann allegedly struck the woman "then fled the scene, accelerating rapidly, exiting the parking lot the wrong way and jumping a median."

Police do not believe McCann was a customer at Dave & Buster's or any other Braintree establishment, Jenkins said.
