Brockton Man Arrested for Allegedly Trying to Fight at Wedding Reception in Braintree

The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 23-year-old Brockton man was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly acting as the "primary aggressor" in starting fights at a wedding reception at the Knights of Columbus in Braintree.

Lucas Semedo was charged with disorderly conduct on June 17 after the incident at the function hall on Washington Street, Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.

When police arrived at the hall, they encountered guests out front yelling at each other, Jenkins said. Unlike other guests who calmed down when officers instructed them to, Semedo continued to try and fight with other people and was pointed out as the instigator, Jenkins said.
