Braintree Responds to 4 Overdoses in One Day: 'This is Just So Scary'

Police responded to overdoses on LSD and heroin.

Braintree police reminded residents that the department is available for help for anyone who may be battling addiction. The reminder comes off the heels of responding to four overdose calls within eight hours this past Sunday in Braintree.

Two in Braintree overdosed on opiates, and on Wednesday morning a woman from Marshfield was found dead after overdosing on heroin, reported the Patriot Ledger. One Weymouth man overdosed in a car in front of the Tiki Palace in the afternoon on Sunday. Police, said the Patriot Ledger, are now carrying Narcan, a nasal spray, to help counteract overdoses. Braintree police also responded to a teenager who was banging his head on a building, the result of an LSD overdose, and then shortly after responded to Kmart, where a Boston man overdosed on heroin.

"It's a sad day for the town," posted one person under the Braintree police's post.

Another wrote, "This is just so scary."
