Braintree Resident Arrested for Drunken Driving

A 44-year-old Braintree woman was arrested for OUI after a June 28 accident.

Theresa A. Sheridan, 44 of Braintree, was arrested on June 28 for operating under the influence of alcohol after a minor accident at the Landmark Condos on Washington Street.

A breath test after her arrest indicated a reading well over twice the legal limit of .08 percent.

An officer spoke to Sheridan after the accident Friday evening and smelled the odor of alcohol. Officer Brian Eng made other observations of possible intoxication, according to a release from Braintree Police Chief Russell Jenkins.

Sheridan agreed to perform several sobriety tests and was arrested on the scene. She consented to a breath test at the police station later.
