Braintree Police Seek Armed TD Bank Robber

The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police are looking for a relatively short black man who robbed the TD Bank at Five Corners in Braintree at gunpoint Tuesday morning.

The suspect is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and 170 pounds, Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement. He was wearing a gray flannel jacket and dirty white gloves with black lettering depicting “Max Hire" when he entered the bank just before 11 a.m.

After brandishing a handgun, the man demanded money. He fled out the back door with an unnamed quantity of cash, Jenkins said.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The man was also wearing jeans, a hooded sweatshirt, a gray hat and a black scarf wrapped around his face.

TD Bank opened its 405 Franklin St. location in Braintree in May 2012.
