The Braintree Police Department is replacing its last three Crown Victoria sedans with three new SUVs.
"Three new SUV's will be in service shorty to replace the 3 remaining Crown Victorias we have as sector cars," the department said on Facebook Wednesday afternoon.
"The sector cars are approaching 100k miles and have logged thousands of hours on the road.
"The new Explorers are safer, more fuel efficient, hold more equipment and provide more room for larger prisoners."
