Braintree Man Arrested on Assault Charge

The following is an excerpt from the Braintree Police Department's log: 

Thursday, Feb. 13:

  • At 7:56 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Bay State Drive.
  • At 8:17 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Union Street.
  • At 9:42 a.m., police responded to a report of identity theft on Talbot Road.
  • At 12:33 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Hancock Street.
  • At 1:15 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Grandview Road.
  • At 1:28 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident on Granite Street.
  • At 1:34 p.m., police responded to a report of vandalism on Liberty Street.
  • At 2:47 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident on Grossman Drive. Matthew O. Goodwin, 24, of 12 Franklin St., Braintree, was arrested on a charge of larceny over $250.
  • At 2:53 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Liberty Street. William W. Wong, 21, of 945 Liberty St., Braintree, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery.
  • At 4:18 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Rockdale Street.
  • At 6:01 p.m., police responded to a report of a stolen motor vehicle on Granite Street.
  • At 6:17 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on West Street.
  • At 11:07 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Peach Street.

Friday, Feb. 14

  • At 12:43 a.m., police responded to a disturbance on McCusker Drive.
  • At 3:08 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on West Street.
