Braintree Police Arrest Brockton Pair on Shoplifting Charges

The following is an excerpt from the Braintree Police Department's log: 


Tuesday, Feb. 11

  • At 8:42 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Washington Street.
  • At 8:56 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Elm Street.
  • At 2:56 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident on Granite Street.
  • At 3:27 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident on Grossman Drive. Joseph W. Regan, 23, of 5 Phillips Drive, Westford, was arrested on charges of larceny over $250 and damaging property.
  • At 3:50 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident on Granite Street. Barbie A. Boutwell, 25, of 2 Warren Ave., Brockton, was arrested on charges of shoplifting merchandise by concealment and receiving stolen property valued under $250. Deshawn Pettway, 22, of 2 Grove St., Brockton, was arrested on two counts of shoplifting merchandise by concealment.
  • At 5:00 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Jefferson Street.
  • At 5:02 p.m., an officer disposed of a hypodermic needle discovered on Washington Street.
  • At 6:25 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Quincy Avenue.
  • At 6:29 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Plain Street.
  • At 8:24 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Washington Street.
  • At 9:57 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Union Street.
