Braintree Police Investigating Armed Robbery

A Quincy man was robbed at gunpoint in the South Shore Plaza parking lot.

The Braintree Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the South Shore Plaza parking lot on Tuesday, July 30.

A 32-year-old Quincy man was robbed of two phones and a sum of money by two unknown men. The Quincy man arranged to sell an iPhone on Craigslist.

According to Braintree Police Chief Russell Jenkins, "The victim told officers he’s done business with the suspect in the past, but on this occasion, while sitting in his car with the man, a second man approached and the first man pulled a handgun."

The suspects reportedly walked off and fled in a dark colored sedan.
