Braintree PD Investigates House Break on Holmes

The following are excerpts from the Braintree police log. An arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Police are looking for information leading to the arrest of someone who broke into a home on Holmes Street earlier this week.

On Tuesday, June 17, around 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a past breaking and entering at a Holmes Street residence, said police.

The homeowner told officers that sometime between midnight and 2 a.m. someone entered their home through a first floor side window.  The homeowner noticed the open window at about 2 a.m. and then contacted police.

Several items were stolen from the home. Detectives are investigating.

“With summer upon us, windows are frequently left open, allowing easy access to your home,” said Chief Russell Jenkins. “Please keep in mind that ground floor windows are an inviting target.”
