Braintree Officers Honored for Lifesaving Actions

Braintree officers were recognized for their heroic efforts.

Last December, eight Braintree officers responded to a call at the Wood Road Hotel for an "unknown medical." When they got there, they found a 21-year-old woman in a room without a pulse. As a team, using CPR and other tactics, they got the person breathing again.

On Friday, these officers were honored along with 83 others from across the street for first responder, life saving actions.

Braintree police posted on its Facebook page that "The Statewide Advisory Committee for CPR/First Responders annual ceremony recognizes an officer who while on duty or off went above and beyond their law enforcement duties in rendering care to a citizen or another member of their agency in need of medical attention."

Sgt. Phillip Yee, Officer Brian Eng, Officer Blake Holt, OFficer William Cushing, Officer Peter Gillis, Officer James Peters, Officer Don Delaney and Officer Nathan Killeffer were recognized during a service at Bentley University.
