Shawn Marks, 23, of Braintree, and Nadia Babyonyshev, 44, of Brookline, were arrested at 12:23 a.m. on March 5, and charged with inhaling a toxic substance.
According to the report, a lieutenant and an officer in an unmarked car reportedly saw a Dodge Charger on Ewe Street “traveling slowly” on the street and later, parking on St. Paul Street while partially blocking the road.
They approached the vehicle and allegedly saw Marks “holding a black object in his left hand near his face” and upon seeing the police, “frantically removed the object form his face and began concealing it under the driver’s seat,” according to the report. Not knowing what the object was, police requested that he put the car in park and get out of it, which he did.
At the same time, Babyonyshev was allegedly attempting to conceal a large blue nitrous tank between her legs.
Later in the investigation, police alleged that there was a large amount of frozen crystals built up on the outside of the tank and there was a marijuana pipe on the floor of the car. They were both arrested.
