Attempted Gunpoint Robbery at Plaza Mobile Early Sunday Morning

A man fled the Mobil on the Run at the South Shore Plaza Sunday morning after he tried to rob the gas station with a handgun.
The suspect left without robbing the Mobil after the attendant refused to give him money, Police Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.
The attendant told police that the suspect wore a hooded sweatshirt and a stocking cap partially obscuring his face when he came in at 2 a.m. and demanded money.
