The state Department of Children and Families, which has been under fire for a recent string of infant deaths, is at the center of another controversy.

WCVB-TV reported Walpole police said staff at The Home for Little Wanders didn't immediately report an alleged rape to them. The organization runs the Longview Educational Center, a youth home in Walpole for children in DCF custody.

Authorities said a 13-year-old boy enrolled at the center raped a 9-year-old boy.

Walpole police said they learned of the incident 12 hours after it happened, making it "impossible" to collect evidence.

Michael Pearis, executive vice president of The Home for Little Wanderers, disputed the account provided by police.

"We are unable to provide further information at this time and ... felt it would be irresponsible for the media to refer to this incident as an alleged sexual assault or rape," Pearis said in a statement, according to WCVB-TV.

Last month, DCF Commissioner Olga Roche resigned after a pair of infant deaths. Authorities said DCF's lack of communication with police may have contributed to at least one of the deaths.

With one-party government, there is NO ACCOUNTABILITY. EVER. Not even kids getting raped or murdered is enough to convince the low-information voters not to elect and re-elect these trolls. Yes, the pols will make all sorts of excuses, and tout their 'commitment to solving the problem', but be it Patrick or Obama, NOTHING will get done. NOTHING!

Obam . . . ah Devil is celebrating Same Sex Marriage everywhere he is welcome, while ignoring Justinas Pelliters illegal incarsaration as her family gathers to celebrate her 16th birthday! A sweet SIXTEEN never to be forgotten! Release to her parents is well within the governors power if he chose to exercise it! The dollars used to attack this child and family would so better be spent on additional social workers to provide much needed hands on family care givers supervision!

And the Sec. of Defense has just promoted an CAIR advocate of Murdering US Troops . . . PROMOTED, What the hell is he doing working for Kerry Heinz?

The problems that exist in our communities far exceeds partisan politics as they were present when we had white republicans in office too. Perhaps if the troll above - who by the way has nothing else to do but post under multiple names with the exact racist banter over & over again, spent their time looking for solutions instead of just regurgitating hate maybe we could move forward. The Government IS us & the majority rules. We either unite across our differences & save our country or continue to be divided over outmoded, small minded fear & fall like every other empire & republic before.

J, the article is about the MA DCF, which has had free reign to let kids die for 7 1/2 years under veto-proof and override proof demo control. So it's in no way partisan....man up and own it !
