Alleged Home Break-in Suspect Captured on Warrants

A 22-year-old Braintree man who was wanted for break-ins on Lawnview Drive in Braintree was arrested late last month on larceny warrants.

Matthew P. McCormick was found by Braintree police on Sept. 28 at Blanchard Boulevard and Elm Street, Deputy Chief Russell Jenkins said in an email.

McCormick was arrested on two warrants from Braintree and one from Needham. All three were for larceny.

In September, police issued a warrant for McCormick, seeking to charge him with breaking and entering and larceny from a building for a break-in at a Lawnview Drive home on Aug. 23.

During that break-in, money and jewelry were taken. That same home was broken into again on Aug. 25.

On Sept. 14, another Lawnview Drive home was broken into. A couple told police that their children returned home from school at 5:30 p.m. and found an Apple computer and other items missing.
