Alleged Drunk Driver Crashes into Braintree Business on Quincy Ave

The following information was supplied by the Braintree Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 52-year-old Braintree woman was arrested for drunk driving Monday evening after allegedly driving her vehicle erratically and crashing through the fence of a business along Quincy Avenue.

Donna M. Meola was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol after refusing sobriety tests but exhibiting signs of intoxication, Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.

"A witness told officers that he followed Meola from Quincy after she allegedly struck his vehicle in a Quincy parking lot and then fled into Braintree," Jenkins said. "The witness further reported to officers that while Meola was traveling
south on Quincy Avenue she crossed over into the northbound lane several times, nearly striking vehicles that were traveling north."
