Abercrombie Cologne Heist Goes Bad for New Jersey Man

A 30-year-old man from Newark, NJ was arrested by Braintree police on Saturday, Dec. 15 after allegedly trying to steal $2,500 worth of cologne from Abercrombie & Fitch at the South Shore Plaza.

Alberto J. Torres was taken into custody by officers working a traffice detail near the Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse after loss prevention chasing him flagged them down, Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.

The cologne was found later and Torres was charged with larceny over $250.
