21-Year-Old from Braintree Arrested Allegedly Speeding Drunk

Braintree police arrested a 21-year-old local man Sunday night after he alleged sped erratically from Holbrook into Braintree.

David M. Chappron, 21 of Braintree, was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and speeding after recording a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit of 0.08 percent, Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.

Chappron was pulled over on Washington Street near Jefferson Street when a motorist reported his speed and swerving. Officers Nathan Killeffer and Brian Eng observed signs of intoxication and had Chappron perform sobriety tests, Jenkins said.
