My two-year anniversary with Patch is coming up on Aug. 30 (Braintree Patch itself launched in November 2010). But on that day I will not be here at the helm, answering dozens of emails, sending Tweets and writing stories about the community.
Instead, I will be several hundred miles away, on the Dutch side of an island, roasting in the sun. I am getting married on Aug. 25 to a beautiful, kind and incredibly smart recent law school graduate from Weymouth and will be absent from Braintree Patch from Aug. 21 through Sept. 4.
Taking over will be a team of Patch editors, including my Regional Editor Margaret Carroll-Bergman, Senior Regional Editor Les Masterson and local editors Adam Roberts and Tony Catinella. They will all pitch in to check my emails (so keep them coming! email@example.com), pick up police logs, monitor breaking news and cover happenings in town.
It has been an honor to cover Braintree these past couple years, and I look forward to returning in two weeks with a deep tan (if possible), and also rejuvenated and ready to handle what looks to be a busy Fall. Thanks for all your great feedback and for the constant stream of story ideas.
If you have any questions for me before I unplug tomorrow, feel free to reach out at firstname.lastname@example.org or 781-413-6157.
Thanks for continuing to support Braintree Patch!
