Karen O'Neil

O'NEIL, Karen M. longtime resident of Braintree passed away unexpectedly in her sleep February 23, 2013 at the age of 52. Loving longtime companion and best friend to James E. “Jimmy” Donohoe. Dear daughter of Richard D. and Maureen (Bulman) O’Neil of Braintree. ... Karen grew up in Braintree and graduated from Braintree High School, Class of 1978 and from UMass Amherst, Class of 1982. Karen and Jimmy enjoyed their summer visits to Vinnie’s Dennis cottage.

Donna Saunders

Donna P. (Dewey) Saunders, 71 years of age of Braintree passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the South Shore Hospital, Weymouth surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born in Easton and was raised and educated in Quincy. She graduated from Quincy High School. In 1961 she married her husband Herbert Carlton Saunders, III and moved to Easton where she raised her seven children. In 1978 she moved to Plymouth and worked as a Physical Therapy Aid for Habilitation Assistance Corporation of Plymouth. She retired six years ago and moved to Independence Manor in Braintree. She enjoyed going on trips and playing cards and board games with her girlfriends at the Manor.

Abner Tomkinson

Abner “Ab” W. Tomkinson, 89 years of age, entered Life Eternal at the South Shore Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 24th, 2013.  He was born in Revere and graduated from Revere High School.  He subsequently graduated from Babson College. During WWII, Ab served with the U.S. Army for 3 years in England and he served at Normandy, Northern France, the Rhineland, the Ardennes and Central Europe.  He received several medals.  He was a retired tax accountant for the Fiduciary Trust Company in Boston.  Ab lived in Braintree since 1950.  He was an accomplished artist and an active member of the Union Congregational Church in Weymouth and Braintree.  He had made silhouettes for the church which were used on the walls of the sanctuary during the Christmas season.
