24-Year-Old Charged with Attempted Murder in Braintree Tuesday Night

A 24-year-old man from Hanson was charged with various crimes Tuesday night after police responded to a report of an assault and battery at 37 Holbrook Ave.

The charges included attempted murder, assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping and witness intimidation.

Michael Harlan was arrested shortly before midnight, according to the daily log of incidents. More details will be published as they are available. 

Also arrested Tuesday were three people from Dorchester and Hyde Park, charged with shoplifting and other offenses at the South Shore Plaza at 8:40 p.m.

Michelle Gillenwater, 26 of Dorchester, was charged with larceny over $250, forgery of a document, uttering a false instrument, giving a false name to a police officer and identity theft.

Antoinette Caterson, 26 of Dorchester, was charged with two counts of larceny over $250.

Yalanda Taylor, 27 of Hyde Park, was charged with two counts of shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
