Braintree New Year's Eve Fundraiser Canceled
The event was scheduled for Tuesday night at the Braintree Sons of Italy Hall.
The New Year's Eve Gala scheduled for Tuesday night and sponsored by the Braintree Special Events Committee has been canceled for lack of response.
Organizers did not sell the minimum number of tickets required for the event to go on, Councilor-at-Large Sean Powers said Tuesday morning.
The fundraiser, originally scheduled from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on the night of Dec. 31, 2013 at the Sons of Italy Hall, was supposed to benefit the 4th of July Celebration Committee.
This change in plans does not affect the New Year's Eve senior luncheon scheduled from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Son's of Italy.
