Where to Donate Food in Braintree This Holiday Season

Part of our 2013 holiday guide.

While you're preparing for Thanksgiving and looking ahead to Christmas, don't forget to help out those less fortunate.

Below we have provided a list of places in Braintree where residents can donate food. If we missed a place, please mention it in the comments and we will include it in our list.

Braintree Communty Food Pantry

This all-volunteer food pantry is located at First Baptist Church on Washington Street. Food drop-off is Wednesday evenings between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., though the staff encourages calling ahead.

For more information on donating and how to contact the pantry, visit its FAQ page.

Marge Crispin Center

This social services center at 74 Pond St. does a lot more than collect food during the holidays, but is a great place to contribute to those in need around Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The Thanksgiving food distribution is Nov. 25 for client families and Dec. 20 for Christmas, which includes gifts for children. Click here for more information on the center.

South Shore Elder Services
also has a comprehensive list of food pantries in the area. See their resource page here.
