Another event in support of fundraising for Project PROVE’s 40th Anniversary celebration/annual reunion will be this Tuesday night’s concert, featuring Ramshackle, whom you heard if you made it to the .
Ramshackle is an acoustic trio which includes Braintree native Robin Roy Huer. Ramshackle has provided musical accompaniment for PROVE reunions, in some form or another, since the first event in 2004.
The , sponsored by BELD, runs on Tuesday evenings through the summer. The concert featuring Ramshackle is on July 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Rain date is Wednesday.
We’ll be selling wristbands again to raise money for a bronze plaque, commemorating 40 successful years of the program for high school students with developmental disabilities. The plaque will be presented to the high school at the big event in October. So bring chairs, blankets, kids, grandkids, grandma and grandpa and enjoy an evening of entertainment by the lake and buy a wristband or ten.
We’re also very excited for a couple of reasons – for the first time ever, Project PROVE participated in the on Saturday and won first prize for the float – with Superintendent Dr. Peter Kurzberg at the helm!
Also, preceding next Tuesday’s concert, Ramshackle will be live on radio station WATD at 9:15 p.m. Monday night (95.9FM) where PROVE’s success will be mentioned.
