Police Chief Announces Veterans Day Retail Hours
Veterans Day is Monday, Nov. 11, 2013.
Retail establishments in Braintree will be allowed to open at noon on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, 2013.
“In years past, various veterans organizations have requested that we not allow stores to open before noontime and we have honored their requests,” Police Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.
“Veteran’s Day is a day to celebrate our veterans and honor them for their many sacrifices and service to our country and I will continue the Town of Braintree’s long standing tradition of noontime openings.
“This is a small sacrifice to make to honor those who have died for our freedom
and those who have served or are now serving to protect our great Nation.”
