The hell with the Highlands Winter Shopping Event. If the PC crowd wants to call it a winter shopping event rather than a Christmas event then shame on them. Folks stay away from these uber sensitive liberals and shop elsewhere! Merry Christmas! Shame on the Highlands PTO and Principle!

Who cares what the event is called? The idea is to benefit the children of Highlands Elementary. Shame on Joe for his comments.

Dear Joe, This event was not named with the thought of being politically correct or not. It has nothing to do with anyone being an uber sensitive liberal. This event was created to help a school raise money for our kids. We are all volunteers trying to do our best to give our kids the best. The Highlands Elementary School is a great school with a great principal. Our fundraising efforts give our kids advanced technology, books in their school, recess equipment, and much much more. So when we have an event our intention is to help our children and not to raise a political issue. It saddens me that someone would want to tell people to not attend an event where the intentions are good. Merry Christmas to you and yours, Melanie Anderson PTO President Highlands Elementary School
