Habitat for Humanity Arts Fair in Braintree to Support Home Building

This fundraiser is one of several being planned to generate funds for the next Habitat home.

South Shore Habitat for Humanity’s Braintree Area Local Partnership Committee will host its second Annual Arts & Crafts Fair on Saturday, Nov. 2.

The event, at Braintree Town Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature more than 30 crafters selling some of the following handmade items: handcrafted jewelry, fabric handbags and matted prints, American Dolls Clothes, knitted hats, gloves, and scarves for women and kids, jellies, jams and fudge, homemade dog treats, books, bracelets for cancer, precious metal/silver jewelry, painting/pottery/jewelry, wooden items, and bird houses.

There will be raffles, entertainment, food and fun available for all who attend. Admission is $2.

This fundraiser is one of several being planned to generate funds for the next Habitat home. While we continue to raise funds and awareness, the BALPC is actively searching for a buildable lot in Braintree, Holbrook, Quincy, Randolph and Weymouth to provide an affordable home for a family in need.

The BALPC meets the second Wednesday of the month from 7 p.m.to 8:30 p.m. at the Braintree Community Youth Center at 74 Pond St. For more information about the Craft Fair or volunteer opportunities, individuals should contact Sandy Libby, LPC Chair at Sandra.Libby@xerox.com or visit the SSHH website at www.sshabitat.org.

South Shore Habitat for humanity (SSHH) is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to delivering simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with families in need. SSHH is based in Weymouth and serves 35 cities and towns south and southwest of Boston.
