Ferret Foundation Looking for Help With Abused, Abandoned Animals

Patch has partnered with GoFundMe and is helping to highlight worthy campaigns in local communities.

Weymouth-based Fortunate Ferrets is seeking support from the community to help pay for veterinarian expenses for abused, abandoned and hospice ferrets.

The non-profit shelter took in a number of the animals this year and is asking for donations on GoFundMe.com, the fundraising website Patch has partnered with to highlight worthy campaigns in local communities.

Fortunate Ferrets has raised $560 in three month from nine donors, toward a goal of $3,363.

From the organization's page:

We have had many rescues of ferrets this year and depend on our veterinarian to provide exams required vaccinations and life saving surgeries.

We need your help to pay our current vet bill balance in order to continue to obtain necessary veterinary care for the hospice ferrets and rescues at the shelter.
