The Dickens Festival is known for its fun atmosphere, unique gifts and quality, handmade merchandise.

The 19th Annual Dickens Festival and Holiday Craft Fair is at All Souls Church in Braintree at 196 Elm St. Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Dickens Festival is a unique entertainment and shopping experience with something for the young and young-at-heart.

Interact with costumed characters from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens and listen to roving Victorian Christmas Carolers gather several times throughout the day.

Visit Rick's Christmas Attic Treasures, featuring quality, gift-able items, Ye ‘Olde English marketplace' with vendors (many in Victorian costume) selling their handcrafted goods and Dickens’ Basement Curiosity Shoppe, with basement bargains and the Candy Shoppe.

Pose for pictures with Father Christmas in his fireplaced workshop – pictures will be available for purchase. Father Christmas is gentle, non-commercial and wonderful! Each child who visits with Father Christmas receives a treat whether a picture is purchased or not.

Take Home an Apple Pie made by PIES BY GUYS (and GALS) Baking Crew. Buy one to eat and one to freeze. (Pie by the slice will also be available for purchase at the lunch counter). Enjoy a hot roast turkey dinner sandwich, baked goods from Quiver’s Confectionary and take a chance on some fantastic raffles
