Braintree Resident Honored for Work with Disabled People

Easter Seals Massachusetts provides services to ensure that children and adults with disabilities have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play.

Kevin Berner, a Braintree resident, was honored recently by his fellow Easter Seals employees for his exceptional work with the organization, which provides services to people with disabilities.

Berner is an occupational therapist in the Assistive Technology program and is also an adjunct lecturer in the master’s program in occupational therapy at Boston University, according to a press release.

He was presented with the Employee Spirit Award for his thoughtfulness and creativity in working with clients.

The Easter Seals Assistive Technology program celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. One of largest programs of its kind in the country, it is nationally recognized for the expertise of its staff and their work to empower people with disabilities to reach their full potential.
