Teddy Bear Drive for Sandy Hook!

Looking for a way to help the children of Newtown? This Saturday, between 8am and 10am, volunteers will be holding a Teddy Bear Drive in Hingham, collecting teddy bears and stuffed animals for these children in need. This drive will be located at the Hingham Congregational Church on Route 228 (378 Main Strret). In the past, these toys have offered a sense of comfort and security to children in times of sadness or worry. This collection has been organized by a Hingham school teacher. This teacher will personally deliver the bears and animals to Newtown firefighters next week. In turn, these firefighters will distribute them to students in Sandy Hook and neighboring schools, as well as children of first responders and employees.  Please bring new or gently used bears and stuffed animals, and feel free to attach a tag with your name and a personal note. If you are unable to bring your bear to the drive on Saturday, bears and stuffed animals can be dropped at the Hingham Police Station up until Monday morning at 10am.
