Cold Chocolate Fuses Bluegrass and Funk at the Blue Moon Coffeehouse, Rockland, Sept. 14

The Blue Moon Coffeehouse in Rockland kicks off a new season of shows with Cold Chocolate on September 14th.   Led by Ethan Robbins, Cold Chocolate is creating a unique sound in the world of Americana: bluegrass and roots music fused with a dash of funk.   On the banjo, the band features James McIver, an MIT physicist and winner of the 2012 Lowell Banjo and Fiddle Contest.  Professional drummer, Ariel Berstein, and bass player, Kirsten Lamb, add their own funk inflected groove to the band. Between sets by the band, they'll be an open mic and a raffle.  We'll also have homemade snacks, Equal Exchange coffee and great company.   The shows starts at 7:30 and the address is Channing Unitarian Universalist Church, 45 Webster ST. Rockland.  Tickets are $7 for adults, kids 12 and under free.   For more info, visit www.thebluemooncoffeehouse.com
