PAUL AGNEW & JOHN CAPAVELLA WITH FRIENDS

A great musical experience for every audience. Our blend of standards, jazz, and swing brings back memories for some and introduces others to Broadway, movies, jazz classics, & cabaret. We know the backgrounds of the songs, bios of the composers and performers; we involve audiences in the stories behind the songs. Paul & John also produce and host “Songbook”, on Braintree Community Access Media and on Norwood Community TV. In 15 years, we've broadcast nearly 500 half hour programs. “Songbook” won 1st prize in the Alliance for Community Media Northeast Regional Video festival.

JAVA JIVE

Our summertime favorite trio returns! They are always so popular the parking lot is full by 5:30 p.m., so plan to arrive early or you'll have to walk from So. Braintree Square. Tom Madden and his talented buddies will provide favorite sing-a-long tunes and dancing favorites from the ‘60s through ‘90s.

HERITAGE HOUSE BLUES BAND

This local band is guaranteed to appeal to a wide range of audiences. Playing a broad mix that includes blues, rock & roll, country and Texas swing, this talented group can truly "do it all." Free cookout starts at 6 p.m. with hot dogs, hamburgers and everything else (while supplies last).

THE REMINSANTS

A popular entertaining group of six musicians who have performed at our town's Independence Day Celebration numerous times, this group plays favorite tunes of our times. Clearly, this band is one of the Boston area's most enduring performers. Come on down for this final summer concert!

In the event of rain for any concert, it will be rescheduled for the next night (or Thursday night). A sign will be posted at the main gate, or visit braintreerec.com for further information. This is our 17th annual Sunset Concert Series. Don't forget to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Early arrivers get to sit in the shady areas. Parking is limited at the beachfront, so if necessary please use the lots at the banks a short distance away in South Braintree Square.
