Muladhara ~ My Journey

MULADHARA is the root Chakra, the centre of physical experience, located at the base of the spine, the sacral plexus. This sign represents the earth itself, 4 dimentions and directions which 4 allows for completion. It is the color red and the mantra is LAM. Its a grounding sign and a starting point, just as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, wears red shoes and walks in a direction toward home, a journey. She walks her way to Oz in the hopes of finding home. As we all experience in life, bumps and bends on the road, ups and downs, positive and negative, happy and sad moments.....yet it is a balance we strive for in life. Instead of red shoes, i have my RED YOGA mat that grounds me, makes me feel close to the earth helping me on my travels...my intention before i practice yoga asana is the guidance to assist me at what issues i must face, working it out with the work out of asana practice....hoping to bring what i learned on the mat that day to the outside world, with that said....I feel after Savasana (a sort of meditation after practice) I am again starting at the beginning, the MULADHARA...I am Dorothy on this continious adventure of my lifetime....with billions of other people on this planet...we are all in this together my friends......
