Rotary Sponsorships Available for Braintree's Memorial Tree

The Rotary Club is an international organization whose local chapters like the one in Braintree help support a variety of causes.

The Braintree Rotary Club is once again sponsoring the Memorial Tree, a unique and memorable way to honor those whom we have lost and still cherish, and those family and friends still with us and who have a special place in our hearts.

The Memorial Tree has a permanent place in the Rotary Club’s Memorial Park, located next to Thayer Public Library. The Memorial Ceremony this year will be held on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at 3:30 p.m.

There are three levels of sponsorship, and all will include a light on the Memorial Tree for each of your named loved ones. Each honored name will be read aloud at the Memorial Ceremony, and each name will be listed in the Braintree Forum in a special ad.

TREETOP MEMORIAL STAR – For $1,000.00, (suggested donation) you can purchase the Star atop the Memorial Tree. The memorial names that you choose will be identified in bold print in the Forum ad. You will also be listed as the Star Sponsor.

MEMORIAL TREE PATRON – For $100.00, (suggested donation) you may purchase up to ten memorial names which will be featured in bold print in the Forum ad.

MEMORIAL TREE LIGHT – For $10.00 each (suggested donation), you may purchase one light for as many as you wish to remember, and each will be listed in the ad.

Donations with a list of name(s) to memorialize may be mailed to the following address prior to Dec. 8:

The Braintree Rotary Foundation
P. O. Box 850082
Braintree MA 02185

Additionally, donations and memorial names will also be taken immediately prior to the event on Dec. 9.

All of your generous donations go to support the community service programs of the Rotary Club of Braintree. Rotary is both a local and an international organization. Among the community organizations that Rotary supports are the schools, with donations for student activities, the Braintree Youth Center,
Thayer Public Library, and so much more. Globally, Rotary International has been a major force behind the near elimination of the scourge of polio from the Earth.
