Light Snow in Braintree Likely Monday Afternoon

Snow could turn to freezing rain Monday night.

A light coating of snow Monday afternoon in the Braintree area could turn into freezing rain and sleet by midnight, leaving little accumulation but slick roads.

The snow is likely to arrive after 3 p.m. with winds of five to 11 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. Freezing rain could hit between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. Tuesday morning, followed by a chance of rain and freezing rain before rush hour Tuesday.

The National Weather Service is expecting less than an inch of snow in the Braintree area.
