High Winds Could Cause Power Outages

The high-wind watch is from tonight through tomorrow afternoon.

Friday will bring a high-wind watch to the area with potential power outages in the morning and afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather pattern is coming in Thursday night and will continue to hit the area throughout the day on Friday, with the strongest wind along the coast. Winds could reach 30 to 40 mph, with gusts up to 60.

According to the National Weather Service, the strongest winds will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and "winds of this magnitude could down trees and power lines, leading to power outages. These winds are also capable of causing some property damage."
