It is that time of year again for Braintree’s Haunted House!
We are celebrating our 32nd year of this charitable event, which takes place from Oct. 25 to Oct. 27 near the RMV and Bayshore Athletic Club on Plain Street.
Admission is $5 on Thursday (6 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and $7 (6 p.m. to 10 p.m.) on Friday and Saturday. Thursday's event is a little less scary for younger kids, with the lights remaining on.
This year’s theme is Kärnəvəl of Kärnij. F. X. Messina Enterprises has been generous enough to donate the space to us once again at 26 Plain St.
Braintree’s Haunted House is a charitable organization that raises money for the Highlands Elementary and Liberty Elementary schools’ PTOs and through these organizations the children of these schools.
Our volunteers are parents, friends and family members of students. They also include alumni and many others community leaders and charitable volunteers. All of our volunteer have a passion for putting on a good show for our guests, while raising money that directly benefits the children of the Highlands and Liberty Elementary Schools.
We are also supported by a great number of public, private and corporate donors who provide donations of money and services which help keep our costs down and provide the maximum donation possible to the schools’ PTOs.
The PTOs fund text books, computers, class trips, teacher training, extra-curricular activities and many other things that have a direct impact on the lives of the students.
Without the gracious support and donation of businesses, individuals and the community, we would not be able to continue in our efforts and support this great cause.
This year marks our 32nd anniversary and we are very proud to continue on the legacy that many volunteers before us have maintained.
