Couple Inches of Snow Expected in Braintree Overnight

The snow is expected to hit mainly before 4 a.m. Friday morning.

Snow is expected tonight and into Friday morning in eastern Massachusetts and Braintree, with local accumulation forecast to be one to two inches.

The National Weather Service is reporting that Braintree residents should expect a slight chance of snow showers before 5 p.m. today and a 90 percent chance later tonight through about 4 a.m. Friday morning. The low temperature overnight will be around 24 degrees, with 11 to 13 mph winds.

Friday is expected to be sunny with a high near freezing. More snow could also hit early Saturday morning and throughout the day and night. The NWS had yet to forecast accumulation for Saturday as of mid-morning Thursday.
